I grew up right around the corner from Matt and I still walk by his house on Magnolia all the time. He was a kid's kid, freckle-faced, energetic, always ready to go. He really was like something out of "The Sandlot", a quintessential neighborhood guy. Matt was the type of person that makes our memories of growing up in South Pasadena so vivid, because he was a genuine character who had genuine heart. RIP, Matt.

Matt Duncan - gone far too soon. Matt and I both stayed local and became attorneys, so our paths would cross periodically. I'll always remember his great sense of humor, his incredibly outgoing personality, and the pride with which he spoke of his daughter. He will definitely be missed.Ed Liu
Matt always had that cheshire cat smile on his face, a little mischievous with a real curiousity about life. He had a penchant for history and loved a good debate, so choosing law as a profession was no surprise. His sometimes unfiltered honesty created occasional conflicts, but he always had a soft heart and meant well. Rest in peace my friend. you will be missed.
